The Rock

August 28th, 2022

Overview

Are you guys familiar with the wrestler called the “Rock”. The WWF which is what it used to be called, The World Wrestling Federation before they got sued and had to change their name to WWE. But I used to hilariously watch it because I thought it was the funniest thing. The over the top fakeness and get this the writing for it the script was hilarious. The banter that went on between the wrestlers was funny, I don’t know about now but back in the 90’s that was just prime material. I’ll spare you the details so i don’t bore you all.

Well now as you know the Rock is a famous actor now but you know before the Rock there was THE ROCK.

I want to talk about this famous verse that you guys are probably familiar with.

Matthew 16:18

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The second half of this verse gives us a clue about the end times but right now I want to talk about the first half of this verse.

We all have recognized this verse as saying upon Peter I will build my church. Now I’m not going after the Catholics about this because I myself have understood this verse for years to mean Peter is the rock. I mean Peter actually means rock right?

John 1:42

“And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.”

A stone or rock in other words. And because of this, it makes understanding Mathew 16:18 a little bit difficult, but we’re gonna clear that up right now!

Upon this rock I will build my church is talking about Jesus NOT Peter!  Now hold on. As I say this to you, those that are mature and with discernment will know. But what we will do here is we will let the bible interpret the bible!

I shall present to you evidence. Now how many times does God need to say something and he means it? Once. God means every word he says so he only needs to mention it once but we will find here that it is written here in the bible at least 7 times! More than 7 times but here’s 7 that will drive it home.

  • Psalm 89:26- He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
  • Psalm 18:31- For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

And now the last and most convincing evidence I would like to present is:

Now it is Clear

So now it is undoubtedly clear, with overwhelming evidence that the rock, the church is built on, is Jesus and not Peter.

Now in hindsight how can Peter be the rock, a foundation, for the Church to stand on when Jesus told Peter further on in Matthew…

Matthew 16:19-23

19

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Note: So now we can properly interpret this as Jesus is telling Peter that I, Jesus, am the rock and I’m giving you the keys of the kingdom of heaven.

20

Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.

Note: Obviously Jesus is on a secret mission to save the world and didnt want it to be revealed to the enemy.

21

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

22

Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

Note: Now Peter has put himself between the will of God and Jesus. What a dangerous position to be in!

23

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Peter Peter Peter

Now it seems like I’m picking on Peter but there’s another place in the bible Peter got into some major trouble. Remember when Peter denied Jesus 3 times?

Luke 22:54-61

54

Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest’s house. And Peter followed afar off.

55

And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.

56

But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.

57

And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.

Note: first denial

58

And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.

Note: Second denial

59

And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.

60

And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.

Note: Third denial

61

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

No big deal right? Jesus didn’t cut eyes at him. Jesus didn’t yell “ I told you Peter!” Jesus didn’t reflect anger in that moment. So it seems as if Peter denied Jesus 3 times, but it’s ok. Is it? Is it ok?

Remember these disciples have been promoted. They know better, now. With more power comes more responsibility right? Well let’s take a peek and see what happens.

Mark 16:4-7

4

And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

5

And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

6

And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

7

But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

See it? Did you catch that? In verse 7 it says go tell his disciples AND Peter.  Peter was and has been a part of the disciples EVERYONE knows that. Yet here it says tell the disciples AND Peter! I

tell ya Peter was in bad shape right here. He is on thin ice obviously for denying Jesus but what does Jesus do? Later on we see that Jesus brings him back into the fold into the herd.

Because Peter probably feels at this point a traitor and that he let down Jesus when Jesus needed him the most. Peter I believe was in danger, emotionally he was a wreck. We all know how our emotions can take us on a rollercoaster ride if we let it. But look what happens here:

1 Corinthians 15:5

“And that he(Jesus) was seen of Cephas(Peter), then of the twelve:”

Kinda odd at first that Jesus was seen privately with Peter THEN of the 12. Jesus had to minister to Peter privately to get him BACK.

Luke 15:4

What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

Jesus ministers to Peter, so as not to lose this sheep. There’s a difference between crying and crying bitterly. It says Peter cried bitterly. And in true fashion Jesus just like he said he would, Jesus went after the one and brought him back into the sheep herd and ministered to him(Peter).

So now you all know who the foundation is for the church(Jesus) and the supporting beams could be described as the disciples.Because they are building on top of what Jesus has laid down or started.

I truly love you all.

Dream On

August 26th, 2022

Overview

Let’s look at Habakkuk 2:2-3 (Amp)

2

Then the Lord answered me and said,

“Write the vision

And engrave it plainly on [clay] tablets

So that the one who reads it will run.

“For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time

It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail.

Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it,

Because it will certainly come; it will not delay.

What does it mean?

Write your goals down!!!! Have you ever heard “People don’t plan to fail but they do fail to plan”.

Watch your goals come to pass!

A dog right is a man’s best friend. Why? A dog will play fetch, will protect you, loves you and is loyal to you.

Well I challenge that! Your words are your best friend, better than a dog! A dog can fail, a dog can die. And if your trust is in a human, same thing.

But this! But this will not fail!, it can’t fail! Did you hear me? It can’t fail! Now it might delay because we all want everything right now at this very minute, but it won’t fail.

When God said let there be light, what were the odds of that NOT HAPPENING. 0 odds. 0 odds of failure at the very words “Let there be light”.

If Jesus is the seed, we are the orchard. We are a chip off the old block. The words WE SAY are like the words GOD SAYS! He is our parent, we are the offspring, and offsprings are like their parents!

The Words we say/write down–don’t fail.

Ok i’m interested

Om talking to a wide range audience so first you want to accept Jesus into your life. Trust me you don’t want any riches, any blessings apart from Jesus, it’s not worth it and that’s the problem with new age is they are trying to do the same thing and they mention the universe but they refuse to mention and honor and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Trying to get somewhere without God is what got Adam and Eve in trouble in the garden. We always include God.

Write down your goals

The worst thing you can do is write down small goals and as they come true your gonna kick yourself for not making bigger goals.

Declare your goals everyday

You can make a vision board with your favorite bible verses and pictures of your goals and put it somewhere in your house where you will see it everyday and declare it.

Continue on with your life

Live your life, worship, work, prayer, family etc. Your goals will come to pass.

Do not tell the negative people in your life

If you share a dream with a negative person in your life they can cause you to lose hope if you are not strong enough.

“ My dream is to be a teacher”

“How are you gonna be a teacher, you flunked out of school, lol”

“Ah your right, what was I thinking”

Boom, that dream is gone just like that. Be careful with sharing your dream with negative people but do share your dream with others as this can link you with another person that can help you achieve your dreams.

My story

I did this exact thing. Back in 2019 I wrote down “me and my family are moving to VB” . I declared it for like a week and then I put it away as I was actually moving to another state. Well

here in 2022 we actually moved here into Virginia Beach! Now it did take some time but God was aligning things behind the scene the whole time. So yes I am a product of this verse, it is too late for anyone to tell me that it doesn’t work because I’m living proof it does work.

I truly love you all,

Great Power

August 21, 2022

Overview

With great power comes great responsibility! Famously quoted in one of the spider-man movies by the late Stan Lee. He definitely got a heavenly download, he didn’t think of that on his own.

One of the secrets to great power in the God’s Kingdom is dying to ourselves. Now we hear this all the time but what exactly does it mean, to die to oneself.

Life of Jesus

Looking at the life of Jesus, the secret to his power was this:

John 5:19

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

This is the key. Jesus did nothing on his own. Take this into further consideration. Jesus didn’t wake up and feed the chickens but instead only did what he saw the Father do. Can you imagine the amount of discipline this takes.

Take our lives for example. How many things are we doing daily just automatically? Checking email, going to work, visiting a friend, going on vacation, traveling. Did Jesus say to do that? I know this sounds extreme but scripture says Jesus didn’t do a thing without the Father! Jesus could have called upon a legion of angels at any time but he did not. Why? Because the Father did not. But here we are, myself included doing practically what we please. Want to go to the park? We just go without giving it much thought.

Your Neighbor

My cousin told me he came home from work late one afternoon and his neighbor began to chew him out about something that had nothing to do with my cousin. In this moment of someone using profanity against you, it is sooo easy to shift into our flesh and give it right back to them! But you see now you have gone down to their level, a level where they are probably more adept at than you are! The secret is to go to a level where YOU ARE MORE ADEPT AT!!! SPIRITUAL WARFARE!!!

Before any engagement

But before any engagement takes place, make sure you yourself are dead.

  1. Basic training buddy-see video
  2. Coworker profanity-see video

Galatians 2:20

Amplified Bible

20 I have been crucified with Christ [that is, in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body I live by faith [by adhering to, relying on, and completely trusting] in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

1 Corinthians 15:31

“I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.”

As long as we live, God is going to let us through our free will. And the situation with the neighbor we will have to deal with on our own. The above verse is the secret to marriage.

However

However when we die to ourselves is where true power begins! When you die to yourself and your neighbor comes at you with those profanity. They are no longer cussing you out, they are using profanity against our very Lord Jesus! You see when we lay down and die to ourselves guess who rises up inside of us? Yes Jesus! But now you have a huge responsibility on your hands as described in:

Luke 9:52-56

52

And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

53

And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

54

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

55

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

56

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

Jesus is our Great Physician, a doctor is to save lives not destroy them. So in this level we have a great responsibility and just because your neighbor just cussed out you(Jesus) now you must intercede for them! Just like Stephen did:

Acts 7:58-60

58

And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

59

And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60

And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Can you intercede as rocks and stones are hitting you in the head? As people are using profanity against you? As a crazy person is going off about a parking space can you intercede for them?

You have to know when to call down fire and when to intercede, saints.

Psalms 46:5

“God is in the midst of her(the city); she(the city) shall not be moved(or fail): God shall help her, and that right early.”

In my last example you see here in this verse in Psalms 46 describes a city that God inhabits and that this city WILL NOT FAIL(because God is there). What more is that we are a temple and

God resides in US MEANING WE ARE NOT GOING TO FAIL(not because you’re smart, not because you’re strong but for the very reason God is in you! You can’t fail because God is in you!. IT MAY FEEL LIKE IT AT TIMES We can go through some shhtuff BUT THAT’S A FALSE NARRATIVE OF THE ENEMY. TRUTH IS WE ARE A CITY A TEMPLE OF GOD AND GOD IS UNDEFEATED ALWAYS HAS BEEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE UNDEFEATED. THIS UNDEFEATED NATURE IS WHAT WE HAVE INSIDE!!!!! Now let this knowledge go from your head and into your heart and spirit!

Failure is an illusion from the enemy.

Why do you think we are here? Jesus came down to earth because it pleased the Father. We are here because it pleases our Father. We are here for unselfish reasons. Our deepest desire is to please the Father. In this desire we are all contributing to the expansion of the Kingdom of God. Each of us will eventually see how we affected the Kingdom of God. Our finite minds cant fully comprehend right now. But we will see opportunities where we excelled and we will hear those most precious words one can ever hear” Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Revelation 21:4

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

We will also witness where we were given an opportunity and we missed it. Although Jesus forgives us and we are welcome into the Kingdom of God, the thing is, we love the Father sooo much and to see where we missed an opportunity for our Dad will cause us to weep and he will wipe away our tears and he will make it all better just like all good dads do right? They make it better and we will forget about our misses and we will enjoy an eternity with a being that is just pure Love, the origin of Love itself is our Father.

Glory be to our Father, to our Jesus, to our Holy Spirit!

When we allow God to BE GOD IN OUR LIVES WE ARE UNDEFEATED!

I truly love you all,

Pastor/Coach Jeno
