Giants in the Land
What is a Giant?
A giant is a person, place, or thing that doesn’t have a covenant with God and comes against the will of God for His people.
Some other definitions:
Mountain- a situation that comes against the will of God for your life and obviously doesn’t have a covenant
Contract – a non-personal binding piece of paper that is used mostly when there is no personal relationship between the parties
Covenant- a foundational pact or agreement between the parties (often personal) that has the highest priority that can’t be superseded in any way unless a new covenant is created in the same parties lives, that will never be broken
A covenant basically means “Gods got your back,” and David knew this!!!
Only David knew the covenant
1 Samuel 17:16-26
(16) “And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days. (17) And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp to thy brethren; (18) And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge. (19) Now Saul, and they, and all the men of Israel, were in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines. (20) And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted for the battle. (21) For Israel and the Philistines had put the battle in array, army against army. (22) And David left his carriage in the hand of the keeper of the carriage, and ran into the army, and came and saluted his brethren. (23) “And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them. (24) And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid. (25) And the men of Israel said, Have ye seen this man that is come up? surely to defy Israel is he come up: and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, the king will enrich him with great riches, and will give him his daughter, and make his father’s house free in Israel. (26) And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
David knew the covenant and believed the covenant!
Genesis 17:2,8 (Abraham)
(2) “And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.”
NOTE: How can God multiply David if he’s dead? Therefore David used this truth to his advantage to take out Goliath who had no covenant with God!
(8) “And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
NOTE: This Covenant also has a promise of the land of Canaan as an everlasting possession.
Why didn’t the men of the army recite this covenant? Why didn’t King Saul rally his men under this covenant? But look, it took only one man, one man to know that covenant and believe it and step out in faith!
What are your Giants?
What are your Giants? What are your mountains? It could be debt; it could be your credit score; it could be your neighbor; it could be tragedy or pain, so what is your Giant? IDENTIFY YOUR GIANTS; IDENTIFY YOUR MOUNTAINS, AND ATTACK THEM!!!
ATTACK THEM LIKE DAVID ATTACKED HIS GIANT!!!
TODAY WE SPEAK IT OUT!!! IT’S NOT PHYSICAL, BUT WE SPEAK THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS IF THEY WERE!!!
You might say, “Oh, that’s just silly. That’s silly!” Well, that’s why you are where you are! Saints, you have tried your whole life to do it your way. How is that going for ya? At this point in your life, you need to do something different in order to get a different result!
But first you need to know what covenant and what promise you are going to swing as a sword.
Now take that scripture and recite it everyday! The scripture becomes like a vitamin! When you take your vitamins every day, you read this scripture out of faith! I promise you that God will be found faithful, and he will come through!!!
Virginia Beach Boardwalk
I’m new to Virginia Beach, and my family and I have heard about this statue called Neptune and about how magnificent it is. Well, that’s an obvious idol! Now we can choose to ignore the statue and just let the enemy have a free ride in OUR territory, or we can be like DAVID and TAKE THE TERRITORY BACK IN THE NAME OF JESUS AND OUR FATHER GOD! Now I’m sure Annamarie has already prayed over this, but that’s okay. Like Kathie Walters said the other day, it’s okay to GO BACK AND PRAY MORE THAN ONCE!
Neptune Idol
Father God, My family and I abide in the shadow of the Almighty through the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I cover my family and I in the blood of Jesus Christ, and I speak the protection of Psalm 91 over my family and me. I invite the hosts of angels in my life to go before me and clear my paths. Host of angels, go out and destroy every stronghold of idols in the city of Virginia Beach and state of Virginia and in particular the statue of Neptune that is posted on the boardwalk of Virginia Beach. Host of angels, destroy the worship places of idols and may they be transferred to places of worship instead — worship of you, God. May the Holy Spirit be sent to those people that are giving themselves to idol worship, and may the scales be dropped off their eyes. May the suffering that is happening, through the people, through the land, and through the water be destroyed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit release your presence here in this land and water of Virginia Beach and Virginia. Have your way here Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit, touch the heart of every person here in Virginia Beach and Virginia, whether they are in the government or civilian walk of life, and whether they are in the city or in the country. Touch their hearts, and give them revelation of who you are. May the people of Virginia Beach turn their faces toward the one true God, El Shaddai, the Lover of our souls, the comforter, and may they receive dreams and visions and may revival break out — not like that of the past of revivals that come and go, but may this be a revival of God’s presence that stays and remains, in Jesus’ name. Amen
