Overview

There Are Seven Feasts In The Bible

Nothing reels you back into the Bible than looking at the feasts of the Bible. The reason being is because it’s still ongoing. It’s not finished yet, and we are reminded to be sober-minded, be vigilant (1Peter 5:8) and even to keep our lamps full of oil and be in expectation as in the five wise virgins in Matthew 25.

Feasts

  1. Passover (Leviticus 23:4-8): This feast remembers how God delivered the children of Israel from Egypt by way of them using hyssop to apply the blood of the Lamb to the top and sides of their doors so that the angel of death would pass over their household — a deliverance from death. It also marks the beginning of the new year.
  2. Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:6): In the rush to leave Egypt to get away from Pharaoh, the children of Israel didn’t have time to add leaven, which is yeast, to their bread. During this feast, to remember the past, they eat nothing that has leaven in it. The bible uses leaven to represent sin and how just a little bit can corrupt you.
  3. First Fruits (Leviticus 23:10): Is celebrated the third day after passover. See how all this lines up? This was celebrated BEFORE Jesus was resurrected on the third day, and this was already on the books as a celebration. If you noticed that the counting of the three days of Jesus death and resurrection doesn’t add up, it’s because of the counting system back then. They started the beginning with one. Whereas, in today’s society, we have a concept of the beginning being zero. THEN, twenty-four hours later, is one. That’s why the counting is off! So if anyone ever tries to tell you, “Hey, those three days Jesus died and was resurrected are not even 3 days, it’s because of the old counting system they had back then. And now, Jesus is our first fruit of the dead. (1 Cor 15:20)
  4. Feasts of Weeks (Leviticus 23:16): This is also called more commonly “Pentecost,” which means 50. This feast is seven weeks after the Feast of First Fruits. It was expected to bring the first harvest of the grain to the Lord which included two leavened loaves of bread. This is also the time when Jesus told the people to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit, and then Jesus was taken up into the clouds (Acts 1:4)
  5. (Still waiting) Feasts of Trumpets (Leviticus 23:24): All regular work is stopped, a time of rest is commanded. A food offering is prepared before the Lord, and trumpet blasts are to be arranged. The return of Jesus and a wedding feast celebration is to occur.

  1. (Still waiting) Day of Atonement (Leviticus 16 and 23:26-32): Atonement is to make up for wrongs committed. This is a day of repentance and humility towards God. This is the “Superbowl” for high priests as they enter the Holy of Holies to atone for the yearly sins of himself and the people.
  2. (Still waiting) Feast of Tabernacles/Booths (Leviticus 23:34): A celebration of God’s provision and protection of the children of Israel while they were wandering for forty years in the wilderness. To commemorate this, people will live in temporary tents or structures like they did in the wilderness.

A  review of the first four (spring) feasts shows us that Jesus was crucified on Passover, buried on Unleavened Bread, raised on First Fruits, and sent the Holy Spirit on the Feasts of Weeks. The alignment of all this! Take a moment to reflect on the alignment over many years. This was no coincidence, obviously.

Now during these last three feasts, which will start when Jesus returns? Lets go to:

1 Corinthians 15:49-54 49 “And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”

Note: You are not your body. Your body is a vehicle you use on this earth, but your body is not your identity. You were made after your ancestors’ DNA, but you will have a heavenly body that looks like HIM when He returns!

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

Note: Do you guys know the difference between IMMORTAL AND ETERNAL?

Immortal is: GOD, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit

Eternal is: Angels and man right now. That’s what people don’t grasp. We are eternal beings now. Why do you think you cry when someone dies? It shakes you because something is wrong, and deep inside, you know the truth, and that is we are eternal beings. God doesn’t make trash! That’s why it’s such a tragedy for people to go to hell because it’s for eternity, and people dont have this revelation. People think, “Oh, I’ll go to hell, and my existence would just be over.” No it won’t. In fact your existence is just beginning! We will ALL LIVE FOREVER. It’s just a matter of where.

But God has truly saved the best for last! As a Father, you give your kid gifts, and just when all the presents are open and your son or daughter is happy opening all the presents, and they’re satisfied and grateful, the parents tell them “Well, we do have one last surprise.” Then the parents give the child a puppy, and the child is so overcome with emotions and so much joy overflows. That’s our Daddy.

God has saved something for us. We won’t have to  worry about sin anymore. We don’t have to worry about, “Oh, no, what if I mess up in heaven?” NOT HAPPENING!

53 “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.”

NOTE: IMMORTALITY! I’LL LET YOU CONNECT THE DOTS IF YOU DARE TO RECOGNIZE WHO YOU TRULY ARE IN CHRIST JESUS! 54 “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”

Hallelujah!!!!

Now there’s a lot here to chew on. Some of you may not be ready to hear this, and some of you right now are BEING SET FREE! SET FREE FROM BONDAGE. SET FREE FROM FEAR! AMEN!!!

I truly love you all,
