Overview
Who goes to a doctor?
You don’t go to a doctor when you’re healthy. You go when you have ailments.
The church is a type of hospital.
Vision: I remember in church we were praying for someone, and as we were praying and laying hands on this person, the Lord opened my eyes. Instead of seeing this person in front of me with people in a circle praying, I saw a M*A*S*H station. Remember the TV show M*A*S*H? I was never really into that, but that’s what I saw: a tent with an IV setup and tubes and nurses and doctors, and we were wearing camouflage outfits just like in M*A*S*H. We were attending to this person just like a doctor would, but, instead of needles, we were praying over this person.
Church is not a place where perfect people go. A church is a place where wounded people go to get healed, to get delivered, to grow and get discipled and receive salvation and much more. So with that said, what is your ailment today?
- Identity
- Health
- Finances
- Relationships
Prescription
- Who am I?: This is foundational. You must know who and whose you are before going any further. This is the rock we must build upon so that you can stand. Without this foundation, everything else you learn will crumble.
- I am a child of God in which I’m actually born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. 1 Peter 1:23.
1 Peter 1:23 “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
A lot of Christians don’t realize what this means. Corruptible means something that CAN CAUSE TO BE DISHONEST OR IMMORAL. We have an enemy that is out to destroy our integrity. But now we are made of incorruptible seed. If we are made of an incorruptible seed, then this is our true self. An apple seed will grow up to be a banana tree? No, an apple seed will grow up to be an apple tree. A seed will ALWAYS bear after its own kind.
Genesis 1:11
“And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.”
This means if you accepted Christ, then you have been made of a good and perfect stock. And naturally, you want to copy your heavenly Father, just as babies watch their parents and mimic them and learn by them.
On this earth, we have a spirit, a soul, and a body. We are to be spirit led, which is the incorruptible seed, and not to be body led or fleshly led by our bodies.
What does this mean? The real you, the spirit you, is good. We must overcome any thoughts that are not in agreement to this!
2 Corinthians 10:5
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
So getting back to Genesis, a human will produce a human. A bird will produce a bird. This is a fundamental law of God that brings order to creation. This is the law of life that everything produces after its own kind.
We are the highest form of God’s creation! There’s a new powerful telescope. The old one was Hubble. Remember the Hubble telescope? These high powered telescopes allow the human eye to witness space from far, far away. The new telescope is called Webb. It brings clearer images from space. But throughout the expanse of space, we are it. We are the treasure. There is nothing else out there that God has made like us.
Now, with this great power comes great responsibility. We can think, believe (faith), and thus produce in the spiritual as well as physical. That’s right; the spiritual realm superceded the physical realm! Before you sat down in your chair, someone had to think and believe a chair first, in the spiritual, using what? Imagination, and then they drew it or wrote it down, and then they made the chair to bring it into the physical. So, yes, the spiritual realm does supercede the physical. The spiritual happens first before it manifests in the physical.
So our faith will produce more faith. Our love will produce more love.
Now here lies the danger and our responsibility, our fear will produce more fear. Our doubt will produce more doubt. A seed will produce after its kind. It doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative. So given that choice, why would you think negatively?
How do you recognize the apple tree? How do you recognize a banana tree? By its fruit, of course.
Proverbs 23:7
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.”
What we think is what we ultimately believe, and it will then produce after its own kind.
This is where we need to protect our eye gates and ear gates. What we entertain ourselves with is what we become a slave to — anything. Pornography sows seeds of discontent in marriage. Pornagraphy is ready 24/7. No spouse can compete with porn. Ultimately, it sows not only discontent but also homosexuality. We are not meant to witness these types of immoral acts, and it causes us to be a slave to it and then corrupts our thinking. Whatever we enter into will, not maybe, will enter into us. So why not be a slave to Jesus Christ, amen!
Now that you know some of the bad seeds, why continue to dwell there?
Seeds of:
- Poverty thinking
- Fear of moving forward
- Fear of success
- Fear of failure
And the list goes on. Now, these seeds produce after their own kind, and you have been nurturing it! Let it go! Some of these seeds have been planted by our parents, friends, and, yes, even Christians. You must do what I call an inventory check and ask God to expose any lies of the enemy that you have believed, and He will expose them. I often teach to move in the opposite spirit of the enemy. So in this case, what does scripture say?
John 10:10
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
This truth sets you free! I recommend that you take this prescription throughout the day — every hour if you have to.
Say and declare: Jesus comes that I may have life and life more abundantly. Now let that seed produce over and over. Amen!
I truly love you all,
